Compressors

Compressor design

The compressor has a compact design. The following components are mounted on a common frame with an integrated oil tank:

With its compact design, the unit can be set up on a level bedplate and connected to the systems in a short time. The compressors are reliable and easy to operate and maintain. Easily accessible subassemblies help minimize regular maintenance time. The compression stage housings are partitioned vertically, providing easy access to the impellers. The transmission housing is partitioned horizontally. After opening the cover, the condition of gear wheels, bearings, gas and oil seals can be examined easily and comfortably. Also, the coolers can be cleaned without the need to disassemble other components.

Each impeller is balanced separately and subjected to a strength test at 15% above the rated speed of rotation. Afterwards, the impellers are mounted on their shafts and the complete impeller set is balanced again. If the compressor is installed in a separate room with quality sound insulation, no additional sound-absorbing housing is required. However, in some applications the sound pressure may be too high. Use of sound-absorbing housing enables the reduction of sound pressure by 15 - 20 dB(A).

The compressor is delivered complete with the necessary fittings and accessories:
